Another creature designed, sculpted, textured and painted during the Gnomon Creature Modelling and Sculpting course. My take on Leszy was based on the original Slavic beliefs and the tales I heard from my grandfather. Leszy is a Slavic forest demon, a shapeshifter and the Guardian of the Fauna. He is a neutral and whimsical creature who can be easily angered. People who fear him the most are hunters and lumberers, whose interference could provoke Leszy. That is why a sacrifice is recommended in order to appease him and win his favour. Leszy has the ability to control the wind, which with the help of wisps that serve Leszy, he could easily confuse intruders and lead them down the wrong path. Nethertheless, due to his neutral disposition Leszy was known to help people find the right path if they happened to be in his favour. Leszy has excellent polimorphic abilities and can shapeshift into any forest animal such as a bear, wolf, deer or an owl, however many sightings also describe him as a tall, slender man with an unnaturally white face. Leszy was know to have many underlings such as wisps(Błędny Ognik), imps (Chochliki) and other smaller demons such as Auk(Spirit of the Echo) and Polewoj(a type of a male field demon).
